Unlock Your Child's Potential with VEX IQ Robotics

We take young engineers from Richmond Hill and Markham and nurture their abstract thinking, problem solving skills, and foster long lasting relationships and collaborative skills.

What is VEX IQ?

Our Vex IQ Program offers an exciting opportunity for students in Grades 3–7 to learn robotics, engineering, and programming in a fun and collaborative environment.

How We Do It

Every student gets to compete, even in their first year — we believe this is the best way to
learn. True growth happens through the experience of building, testing, winning, and
learning from challenges. After all, lessons and theory only take you so far.

Whether your child is new or experienced, we've built a proven coaching system to support
them from the ground up.

Where We Are

Children and parents that live in or near Markham, Richmond Hill, or in the Greater Toronto Area won't have to travel far to get to our facility.

Why VEX IQ?

A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradise

Abstract Thinking

nurturing engineers

Students learn to think beyond instructions. Through hands-on building and strategy, they develop abstract thinking skills.

Problem Solving

fostering creativity

Every challenge in VEX IQ is a puzzle. Students are encouraged to experiment, fail fast, iterate, and improve.

Community

evolving through shared effort

Schools may not allow all students to get equal involvement, but at Silver Owl Robotics doing just that something we take pride in.

Great place for young kids to learn, have fun and get an introduction into STEM. Building using lego blocks make them intuitively understand the concepts of design, purpose, structural integrity in construction and assembly.

As a parent, I couldn’t be happier with the robotics club my child is a part of. Not only has their problem-solving ability improved, but they have also become more confident in their skills. The members get to work on exciting projects, and it’s inspiring to see the passion the mentors and students have.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my child misses a session?

For the 10‐week training program, all lessons are recorded and available online, and we offer up to two make‐up sessions. Vex IQ is like a sport: 10 Week Training Program builds skills, and any gaps will be reinforced during our Full Season Competition Coaching. Missing a couple practice sessions during the competition season coaching is okay, as long as it's not done frequently. These practice sessions are to work on the robot.

Do you have a refund policy?

We ask for a full‐season commitment upon registration, so full refunds are not available after enrollment. Members who leave their teams in the middle of a season hurts their teammates and the organization. However, partial refunds may be considered under extenuating circumstances (e.g., serious injury or illness), on a case‐by‐case basis.
