At Silver Owl, families pick the courses that fit their child — building, coding, or full-on competition. Mix and match across six structured courses, or stack them with our Competition Program. You decide the pace.
Our VEX IQ Program offers an exciting opportunity for students in Grades 2–7 to learn robotics, engineering, and programming in a fun and collaborative environment.
The Lesson Program teaches skills through structured 8-week courses. The Competition Program puts those skills to work in real VEX IQ tournaments. Most families do both.
Every course is 8 weeks, 2 hours per class, $480, capped at 8 students. Pick what fits — your child can take more than one at once.
A 2-month custom game challenge designed for all skill levels. Drivetrain provided — students focus on building, practicing, and competing.
Learn how VEX IQ pieces work. By week 8, your child builds a drivetrain that grabs and scores balls.
The mechanisms that win competitions: arms, intakes, claws, slides, shooting, ratchets, motor sharing.
Start coding from day one with VEXcode IQ. Sensors, drive code, and route programming.
Variables, loops, conditionals, custom functions, and an introduction to PID control.
RobotC, autonomous skills, PID tuning. End the program with an autonomous skills run for the current IQ game.
Up to 8 students per class. Spots fill early — book a free trial to claim yours.

True growth happens through the experience of building, testing, winning, and learning from challenges. After all, lessons and theory only take you so far.
Our full-season VEX IQ program gives students the opportunity to build, program, and compete with their own robot in official tournaments across Ontario — even in their first year.

Full access to robot parts, tools, supplies, and the practice field during open hours.
Ongoing coaching from Anson Lai & Gian Bangayan throughout the competition season.
Real-world competition experience through official VEX IQ events — at no extra cost on top of the Competition Program.
Students learn to think beyond instructions. Through hands-on building and strategy, they develop abstract thinking skills.
Every challenge in VEX IQ is a puzzle. Students are encouraged to experiment, fail fast, iterate, and improve.
Schools may not allow all students to get equal involvement, but at Silver Owl Robotics, doing just that is something we take pride in.

"My son really enjoys being part of Silver Owl Robotics! The program offers lots of hands-on experience, and the coaches are fantastic — knowledgeable, supportive, and truly inspiring."
— Bin Li, Silver Owl customer"Great place for young kids to learn, have fun, and get an introduction into STEM. Building helps them intuitively understand design, structural integrity, and assembly."
— Anjani Duddukuru, Local Guide (288 reviews)"As a parent, I couldn't be happier with the robotics club my child is a part of. Their problem-solving ability has improved, and they've become more confident in their skills."

Children and parents that live in or near Markham, Richmond Hill, or anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area won't have to travel far to get to our facility.
No commitment, no pressure. Book a free trial in any of our six courses, or sit in on the Competition Program if your child meets the prerequisites.
Yes — courses are independent. A common pairing is one Building course (B101 or B201) plus one Coding course (P101 or P201). Each course is billed separately at $480 per 8 classes.
The Lesson Program teaches skills through structured 8-week courses. The Competition Program applies those skills in real VEX IQ tournaments — it's $220/month and requires a B101 and P101 understanding before joining. Most families do both at once.
If they're in grade 2–4 and want a low-pressure intro, R101 is the right starting point. If they want fundamentals in both tracks, start with B101 + P101 (both have no prerequisites).
All lesson classes are recorded and available online. Each 8-class program also includes up to two make-up sessions.
Each 8-class course is a single commitment, so full refunds are not available after enrollment. Partial refunds may be considered case-by-case for serious illness or injury.
Our facility is at the Leslie & Highway 7 intersection — easy access from Markham, Richmond Hill, and the Greater Toronto Area. Free parking on site.
